Inam taking the subject 'it' at school, I am in year 11 (ncea level 1, I'm 15) and some thing is bugging me. We use macs for all our work and I have learnt quite a lot. When I was at home I needed to complete a simple task on my windows pc ur I was clueless. After 10 minutes of messing around I finally found out my problem. It seems that a lot of what I am learning at school is a waste as my preferred os is windows and I don't know the skills I'm learning on Mac. Should i somehow seek an alternative course using windows or fall into apples Mac community?

...Really?

Maybe you should ask your teacher why hes teaching you to use an OS that while more popular than it used to be is still hardly used. What is it exactly you're learning? Is there a reason to be using the mac? Most businesses and places of work will use windows so you're better off getting to know it.

I think it would be better learning on an os that I will be probably use in the future. The course is pretty basic, term 1 I made spreadsheets with numbers, term 2 I made a conceptual design for a website and now I'm building the web site.
