Have any of you ever used MyBB? I found it a couple of months ago and I must say the their version 1.4 is the best free forum software I've ever used! I actually prefer it to IPB nowadays and I don't see much more in VBuletin which makes it worth any money at all!

But yeah I like it :D Its the only one I'll use from now on!

I used to use it a couple of years ago, attracted by its simplicity and elegance, but haven't tried it again since phpBB3. It was good, but I can't really make any comparisons since I don't use any forum software apart from phpBB3 nowadays.

Id say it is MILES better than phpBB now with version 1.4! A better comparison would be to vbulletin or IPB! Its just got so many features, and an ACE plugin system that saves all the hassle of modding phpbb! Im going to be offering free MyBB hosting soon :). Ive already written a few plugins for it :)

I have used MyBB before but not a lot, I prefer phpBB but I have not looked into the new version of MyBB yet, I need to do that soon.
