bought everything for my new pc apart from HD and disk drives. my question is if i plug my old HD into my new mobo with all my new parts, will i need to reinstall games?

also will the XP key on the side of my old pc work if i tried re-installing it? or will i need a new key?

Technically you won't. But it's always good to do a reinstall when getting new parts. Mainly for the junk that removing drivers would leave behind.

Also if it's a standard XP key it likely won't as you changed the CPU. But just call Microsoft up and they should fix it for you. I've had to do that before.

It should work because I used the key from my old pc and it activated perfectly.
