To the RsBandB Community,

Hello, I am sending you this message in hope that you will mention this in your next "RsBandBUpdate." I have not been a member of this site or Runescape in months, if not a year. But, I still respect this forum and what you do so I am asking for your help. Most likely if you know of or use Virgin's ISP then you probably have heard of net neutrality. It is hard to put it in words but, net neutrality is when you try to go to one website your ISP will go the load it at the same speed as if you would try to load a different website. Another way of thinking of it is net neutrality means that your ISP will not block or slow down one website because of its content.

Virgin Media has many partnerships with many different companies and Virgin does not want to lose these partnerships so they are doing away with their net neutrality. This means that if one of there partners doesn't like a website than that website will be either unaccessable or so hard to gain access that you won't even try to bother going there. This also applies to websites that Virgin's partners' own but the exact opposite. For example, if there are videos on Youtube that one of there partners doesn't like, than youtube will be unaaccessable, also, if there is a video website such as Virgin's, that promotes there industry, than that website might be instantly loaded. This can be a problem if websites such as this has someone post something negative about a company and that company finds out than no one using that ISP can access it. Now, you might say "Hey, I don't live in Europe and use Virgin, so why do I care." Well, you should care, because Virgin is going to make a lot of money doing this, and that is why people make ISPs is for the money, so if Virgin is making a lot of money they will set a trend for other ISPs and they will want to make money to until the internet is no longer a place for freedom of speech. The best way for you to take action is to boycot all of Virgin's products and ISP, if other ISPs see how much a mess Virgin got into, then they won't make the same mistake.

For more information or if you didn't understand anything, please watch this video at the end of this post

The title and thumbnail might seem offensive but you should watch it anyways. I know that you do a podcast and that there is also a newspaper on this forum and I hope that this message can be talked about on both of them. I would just make a post about this on the forum but I think this way there will a bigger audience and that if you made a post yourself it might attract more attention. Thank you for taking your time in reading this message and I hope you try and take action and let your community know.

I wholeheartedly support Net Neutrality and it's really sick what Virgin is attempting to do.
