Zonelabs tell the user any application that tries to access the internet. any outgoing and incoming access to your pc are automatically blocked.

also, your pc can be set to be locked when you're away from it and it wouldn't allow any access. one firewall is not enough. there is always a workaround any firewall.

Zone alarm is good pro is also good if you want to pay there isn't many more features though...

One firewall is enough. If one has more than one firewall the two firewalls can conflict some times and cause trouble. It just has to be the right one. I've used zone alarm, sygate, mc affee. I had problems with zone alarm preventing me from playing games, not saying it's bad just it didn't work for me.

I use a router because I have to share traffic with other computers and the win xp sp 2 firewall. It's not the best but it works with the router. If you want to be the safest I recomend just getting a router. Most of them now act as firewalls. Get one if you have the $$$ even if you only have one computer. If not go with Zone Alarm if it doesn't give you issues.
