How To play runescape with FirefoX?

I've found that firefox didn't have any sound while I played RS so I just carried on using the RS browser from jagex. I don't know if that was just me or what...

Rocket, I dunno what you been looking at (probably naughty stuff.

) but FireFox is MUCH more protective than IE.

wtf is firefox? i just use the rs client, and i have never had a single problem. if you are worried about spyware, stick to the rs client form their website.

um, the rs client is IE based... and he said earlier that he doesn't want the history recorded and the slowness of IE...

on topic now, i have had similar problems. sometimes when i try to switch windows or tabs from firefox, it just quits. it usually happens when i've got tons of stuff loaded on my computer...

my solution:

quit as many apps as you possibly could. if that doesn't work, go to task manager and end all un-necessary tasks. if that doesn't work, go to start-> run-> msconfig.exe

go to the services tab, check "hide all microsoft applications", then de-select everything there.

now try it. if it still doesn't work... then i'll need more info on your comp to help you...

post your computer configuration like the cpu, ram, os, etc? it'll help us solve the question

I dont use IE. I just play from the thing u can download off the rs website, and it doesn't lag me

Agh, I never play RS on Mozilla. It always lagged for me. And the sound doesn't work on it.

I play RS in a FireFox browser and the only thing that doesn't work right is the music. In which case, I don't even like listening to it. But if I ever want to, I just use the IE client that I downloaded off of the Jagex site. IE can sometimes be bearable.

Firefox isn't actually faster, just the way it loads pages. If you noticed, it loads the actual page first, then the images :-k
