IS THIS THE CORRECT SOMEWHERE, SHANE?
...if you aren't Shane, don't worry about that

I'm looking for a good, easy to use video editor. I'd prefer it to be free, but they don't have to be *shifty look*
I'd also like it to be able to open MOV files, but I can convert them elsewhere if I need to.

Windows:
Free:
- Windows Movie Maker (get the latest from live.com)
Paid:
- Premiere Elements ($79, has almost everything a normal person would need).
- Premiere Pro ($Much More, a professional editor that is used for movies and shorts).
- Sony Vegas ($Moderately Priced, professional editor)

I like the Adobe products. You should probably go with Premiere Elements as you need MOV ability. Windows Movie Maker *should* be smart enough but I wouldn't put it past Microsoft to have some part of it not work properly.

Mac:
Free:
- iMovie
Paid:
- Final Cut Express, $199
- Premiere Elements
- Final Cut Pro, $999
- Premiere Pro

Remember when I told you about all those hidden features?
They weren't in the version that came with WLE, it was here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/d ... 80cfc&displaylang=en

Don't worry, it works with W7 though. Man, that link looks weird, if it doesn't work, try Googling, "Windows Movie Maker 2.6."

Although it won't have the nice export features of the newer version, I like how it edits, especially with audio.
