When I was interviewed by Shane in RSBANDBUpdate! 272 – We’ve Got Eyes… at RuneFest he asked me if I had a website that he could link to. I could have said yes because technically I did, but it was just a really awful placeholder page (basicly just a white page with "Mercifull" in the centre). So I decided to make something basic but snazzy.

I based the colours off my t-shirt that I wore to Runefest which also slightly resembles the clothing my character wears ingame.

I shamelessly stole the speach bubble from the message of the week in-game and whipped up a mash of code from a few other people into a completely new design.

The basic jist of the design is that the speech bubble shows my latest Tweet on twitter from my @Mercifull account. I used SimplePie for this but was hoping someone had something a bit better that I could use Ajax to automaticly refresh and update if I post a new tweet so it updates in real time.

Perhaps you guys can offer some advice. What do you think?

Normally we don't permit topics advertising personal sites, but since you are asking for advice (and you since didn't get a link on the podcast post), I'll allow it.

I like the font you used for your name, but I think you need a bit more on the page. Some kind of container for the content at least, or maybe just some borders on the sides. Having more of your tweets on the page would make it look better too.

For auto updating your twitter feed, you could make something quick requesting JSON from twitter with jquery. The information on the twitter API is here: http://apiwiki.twitter.com/Twitter-Search-API-Method%3A-search

It says it's free to use, so you could just copy the source from their demo and adapt it to your own design with the url for your tweets: http://search.twitter.com/search.json?q=from%3Amercifull

Sorry if my post looked a bit too much like advertising

. I wasnt aware it was against the rules and I posted it in the tech forum because I didn't want to spam it to the Runescape general section.

Someone mentioned to me that they didn't really like the stats signature. Is there an easy way of displaying my stats so it looked more like the adventure log? I want the stats as text really not an image and I want it to display the exp when you rollover the level.
