Surround sound headsets

I'm looking into possibly buying a surround sound headset for console gaming and was wondering if anyone had any cheap affordable ones to lookout for. Mainly the headset would be used on composite cables or possibly HDMI if I ever decide to invest in a PS3. If the headset had PC compatibility as well then even better!

When you say you want surround sound do you mean 5.1 or 7.1 specifically, or is a stereo headset fine?

Nothing specifically. At least to where I can easily tell which direction something is coming from.

Well there are 2 major brands that make gaming headsets: Turtle Beach and Tritton.

Here are their lineups:

Turtle Beach
-X11 Wired Stereo Headset $60

-X41 Wireless 7.1 Surround sound $200

Tritton
-AX 180 Wired Stereo Headset $70
-AX 720 Higher Quality Wired Headset $130

All prices are taken from Bestbuy.com, but they are pretty uniform at most retailers. I know you have an xbox 360 so all of those work on the xbox 360, but some work on other systems too. For the Turtle Beaches, the X11 is compatible with PCs and Macs. The PX21s are compatible with all 3 (Xbox 360, PS3, PC/MAC). The X31s and X41s however only work on xbox 360. All 3 tritton headsets that I listed work on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC/MAC.

I think price is pretty much the only thing that is left and I dont know your price
