Coding help please.

I downloaded Adobe Flash CS4 today, and need some help.
I was coding this tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bxmlg1oXmho
and when I was done I pressed CTRL+ENTER (test vid/game)
and this error message under output appeared:


TypeError: Error #2007: Parameter child must be non-null.
at flash.display::DisplayObjectContainer/addChild()
at ShooterGame_fla::MainTimeline/frame1()

Ive been learning flash in school :D

Without watching the video to actually know, and from my basic knowledge of flash, I would say you probably have a capitalization error. Capitalization is quite important in flash. Also, just from reading the error, it says the child must not be null. Don't null the child.

Sorry if I'm not much help, I'm not too experienced in flash.
