I just installed it this morning. I got the full legit version off my school's MSDN-AA system.

So far so good. I can already see big improvements from Vista, especially the idle-state resource usage issue.
What I was also surprised about was how there was nothing that wasn't compatible, unlike vista, which was a driver nightmare.

That's what Windows 7 is. An enhancement of vista in terms of UI and Performance.

The drivers aren't really a problem beause the driver model is 3 years old now.

Paul and I have done quite the series on Informer about Windows 7.

I got Windows 7 Ultimate (the 64 bit version) for over a month now. I absolutely love it, had no problems with it so far. I like how when you insert a new device Windows tries to search for a driver by itself which is extremely helpful and hassle free.

As Shane said, Windows 7 is basically Vista with UI changes. This means most Vista drivers will work absolutely fine on 7, and even those that aren't 100% compatible only need minor adjustments. Which is frankly just as well seeing as some drivers (graphics, sound, etc.) still aren't available for 7 yet.
