Xbox 360 price drop

I know from some of you this might be old news, but lately on the news I began to hear more and more buzz about 360 price drop.. I am not sure but from what I had heard Walmart and ToysЯus will be the first retailers to cut the price.

He believes the $299 Core will drop to $249; the $399 Premium to drop to $349; and the newly released $479 Elite to drop to $399 in response to lower-than-expected sales of all three systems.

In a related story, Microsoft's VP of Xbox Japan Darren Huston told reporters today that the company has no plans to cut the Japanese price of the Xbox 360 given its competitive pricing in the territory.

Yeah, should be a $50 price cut.

Seen photos of it in America and the UK, course wasn't supposed to of seen it but it was leaked. All looks legit. I'd pretty much gaurentee it happening.

Been a year+ now, halo 3 + the biggest and best game line up any console has seen is coming over the next three months, it's a very smart move.

I decided I want to buy an 360.

After playing through halo 1 and 2, I just HAVE to own 3. :lol:

Can someone explain to me the difference between:

Core system doesn't include a hardrive which allows you to save games/files. If you plan on getting a 360 wait for the price drop and get $350 premium system.

Here is what Premium package includes:
- Microsoft XBOX 360 console
- 20 GB Hard drive
- wireless controller
- HD AV cable
- ethernet network cable
- wired XBOX Live headset
- white faceplate
- XBOX Live Silver service

While Core package only has:
- Microsoft XBOX 360 console
- wired controller
- standard AV cable
- XBOX Live Silver Service
- White faceplate

Holiday sales for the 360 will be HUGE, especially with the amazing line up of games coming.

That's one hell of a lineup of good games from late August until December 30th. I had to leave out about 15 games as well for lack of room. 360 is definately going to own the Holiday season, and if you watched E3 you already know they are destroying the Wii and PS3.
