ok, so i've run out of membership for potatoreaper, so to avoid losing any green, i'm on mithri door till his membership expires in a week as well. at first i was going to make him an initiate pure. then i decide, hell why stop at initiate? lets go proselyte. next i worked my way up to a brine sabre and a granite maul, then dicided the maul is a crap weapon because it doesn't hit often enough for such a slow slab. thus, i decided to work to get a barrelchest anchor, which is no doubt the best crush weapon in the game. requirements are only 60 attack and 40 strength, but getting to it is the tough part.
30 Construction, 50 Prayer, 40 Farming, 50 Fishing, 42 Slayer, 42 Agility, 45 Crafting, 50 Smithing, 40 Ranged
these are the skills required to do the quests which will in turn lead me to owning a barrelchest anchor.
at the moment i have:
30/30 construction (earned today, cost me about 70k)
34/50 prayer (95k exp to go, thats about 300 d bones / 600k + quest exp to get)
14/40 farming (playing vinesweeper while growing cabbages in the allotment patch south of falador. as i level up i'll use corn and strawberries and watermelon etc. amulets of farming will let me know if anything is diseased, so i can quickly warp back to the patch)
30/50 fishing (planning to fish salmon and trout to 40, then tuna to 50 at barbarian assault.)
36/42 slayer (while getting 5 attack levels and 7 ranged levels, this should come naturally)
31/42 agility (4 torturous levels at the gnome course, then a barcrawl, and 7 more from barbarian course)
42/45 crafting (spinning flax for this, i'll make some profit from it too. nice

)
33/50 smithing (smithing cannonballs here. also make some profit from this. use it to buy dragon bones)
33/40 ranged (guess i'll range slayer tasks for a while. it'll be slow but i need it :S )
55/60 attack (just get this while training slayer)
51/40 strength (not training strength till i have the anchor. its above the required level anyway)
48/60 hitpoints (barrelchest can hit in the 30s, so i want enough hp to heal without wasting food value or dropping too low on hp)
the climactic fight:
barrelchest is a level 190 monster. he has 135 hp. thus it will take me at least 4 recoils + vengeance to kill him. luckily, the 4th recoil wont be used much, so i need to count on 130 damage from recoils, which is 520 healing power. thats makes 24 tuna potatoes in my inventory, 3 recoils in invent and 1 worn, and a 1 click tele.
i'l drink a saradomin brew before i go in, then it should just be a matter of eating when i drop below 40 hp. if i'm lucky i might actually damage barrelchest with my own weapon and fighting skills, but based on when i did the quest on potatoreaper, i should be spending so much time eating i won't be able to attack very often. plus barrelchest has good defense so i'm even less likely to damage him.
option 2:
supposedly there is a way to lure barrelchest so he can be ranged and safespotted. the first time i fight him i will go in unequipped completely with just 5-6 food and 3 armours to take slightly less damage, and try to find out how. if i find it, i will make an attempt to range barrelchest. however i'm not sure how effective 40 ranged with rune arrows will be >.> but if i can range him, i hope for the best

yeah, i'll update this each day or so with levels and maybe photos or something. yay,
