confused !!!

I Really want to know what are the best pker stats for f2p...??(melee ofcourse)
Some guys say that def s*cks and some guys say def noobs own...
So what the hell should i make then???
Real pkers here who have pked lots of rune items and know these things well
please tell me what stats should i make..? :S
i was thinking about those guys..

1st...
40 atk
65 str
1 def
25 magic
combat about 48 then?? or smth

2nd
64 atk
54 str
74 def
25 magic , or 27 pray tho for ultimate defense??

and please tell me ownage stats.. i'm really freaking confused.. i just wanna stay with 1 character which owns and gets me like atleast 2 rune scimmys a day or even 1 ...

I don't wanna make main .. theyr not fun to pk with..
i wanna have fun pking and get cash to buy new lobs again then go again pk...
and get new friends from wild and stuff.. so plz ffs help me true pkers..

best bet fer being a mele pure on f2p

40 att
99 str
25 pray - fer item protect

should make u around lvl 60 combat and having ur stats setup this way makes range and magic not give any combat lvls til after they 90+ so if u really wanted to u could raise those up to that as well for a little bit of magic protection and extra hits. of course melee isn't really the best pure to be on f2p magic pures are still alot more powerful at lower combat lvls.

If you are going to fight other rune melee'ers, Id say have attack and defence 10 levels ahead of your strength. Ex.-
70 att
60 str
70 def

Get higher attack than 40 so u can hit more.
