So I'm in the process of drawing my dog, Lennon. I know, what a surprise! But yeah, I'm still working on it. I'll have to go back and add some darker parts cause it's looking a little flat/rough.
Anyway, I have no idea what to do background-wise. I don't want the background to stand out too much, but I don't think I want to leave it just white.. So yeah, any suggestions on what to do with the background would be much appreciated cause I'm running out of ideas. If worst comes to worst, I may just shade it a lightly or something. Or I could make the corners of the paper very dark and then make it lighter as it goes toward the head..?
Oh, and do you think I should extend his body down to the end of the paper or just start to fade out at the bottom of the head. I think I'm going to just keep the head in the center but then again that may look a little strange.
