that's nice! i would make another layer of the samuel text (adjust the opacities accordingly) and add a slight motion blur to either direction on the text layer on the bottom that you made. looks good otherwise.

Well, my problems are that it has too much contrast and that the sprite doesn't match the stock very well.

Yeah although the colours mix well the render is very pixelly and does not fit the smoothe, flowy setting. The text is a little borng and catches the eye. Deffinitely not one of your best sigs I must say.
