Ok, so I downloaded Gimp like an hour ago and I just got around it!
So I decided to show you a sig, no great but I think it's good after just an hour of work with Gimp.

Pretty good for a first, but it's kind of an unspoken law, but, us GIMPers never use the default brush "The GIMP". :P

I wouldn't speak for everyone. I use GIMP for everything and I find the default brushes very very useful or maybe I don't know which brushes you are talking about .. ? As for the image, it looks pretty cool. I'm not to appealed by the boring lookin' text, though.

I made a new one, with new font, which you hardly can see since i messed the bluring up with the render :\
