yea it has to be fuzzy cuz you can only use gifs for animation (you can use flash, but i dont think they allow you to have flash sigs on this site), and if you use a gif then you can only use a max of 128 colors, so it has to be diffused for it to look proper, and that is why there is fuzz

Yes the fonts are messed up...
I know how to make imageready save gifs with more colors. its not web safe though.
