Tips On Font Design Please!

I need some help on text, because im limited to the fonts that i can get on my computer because this is a school computer and they got it locked up, so i only have the default fonts, which is why i can't get very good fonts....plz give me some tips...you can look at my sig below to see how bad i am at fonts

you used the word fonts alot in that sentence. im in the same situation as sneak. i searched on google and the only thing i could find were programs. since our computers are locked we cant install anything. if anybody has any other ideas (or know how to hack the computer to let us install programs :wink: ) would be apreaciated
