Yes, that is usually the best way to do it. However, I've seen that sometimes copying images from Microsoft Word and pasting them elsewhere sometimes makes them distorted, or turns them into a grayscale color format. Now I don't know if that's just my computer, but if that happens to you, take a screenshot of the Word document with the picture showing, paste the screenshot in Paint, and crop out everything but the picture.
