More photoshop help needed.

Ok, before i go on, when you post, if you know any website with photoshop tutorials, please post them.

Now, ill put this as simple as i can. The picture below, i made the HHS text using that picture with the flames. I did this 1 year ago and my memory sucks.. Basically, in photoshop 7 how do i get the picture to be the texture of my font im using, or overlay it i guess..

i would just cut out a piece of the fire in the shape of HHS then past it into another pic, and add the other cool effects, is that what an overlay is? o well, maybe thats how

it was more like a way how i could use that picture as a texture, cuz i think i remember using a small section of the flames.
