Not sure about how Overlay relates to Gimp, but in Photoshop it's a type of blending mode.

It's not free, but if you have an older version Photoshop..upgrades are only about €115 ($150).

GIMP is totally free, and actually has advantages over Photoshop. :wink:

And overlay is a blending mode in GIMP, too.

what does blending mode exactly do i got the program but cant find anything out. Is there some kind of a tutorial?
