Is there a animation program that lets you animate bmp, jpeg, png, etc. files and not just gif? Cause the gif images always lose color and make my work look like crap. :?

A Kid asked Jesus, "How much do you love me?" and Jesus said. "This much."
And spread his arms out on the cross and died.

I believe .bmp, .jpeg, and .png are still image files only. Gif and and swf are really the only files that animation can be put on. Correct me if I'm wrong.
