I've been trying to create animated fire in Photoshop for awhile, but everything I do fails quite epicly.

I think what this guy did has something to do with the cloud effects and ripples.

I don't know for sure, but it is amazing. He also has a red one.

If you have an idea how this is done, please answer.

Are you positive it was done in photoshop? because I know that is definitely able to be done in a program like flash, but I'm not sure if it can be completed in photoshop alone >.< I could be totally wrong though, I've never really looked into animation in photoshop.

I just found how he did it.

There is a GIMP fire animation plugin. It wasn't Photoshop ;)
