Welcome to Avon, prospective member/curious onlooker!
Avon is a powerful and active level 85+ clan, full of many active and dedicated members. It was founded on March 21, 2008 by Ba Ba Blue as Nova(c)'s junior clan. Through over a year of leading Nova, (c) Ba Ba Blue developed a strong meaning of quality leadership. Whether it’s strength, decline, betrayal or war, (c) Ba Ba Blue has experienced it and is looking to bring this to Nova*s new junior clan, Avon
Initially, Nova was a 90+ clan led by Nappa Valley, with only a few of his best friends and old clan mates as members. After more than a year of evolution, Nova has grown to what it is now. They started at 90+ combat level requirements, moved on to 95+ combat and 1000+ total level, and most recently to 105+ combat and 1100 total level. They recognize this is a very high requirement, and so the junior clan was made to give lower levels a taste of Nova.
In Avon, you are not just a number. You are a unique individual that presents a wide array of traits and attributes. As a clan, we strive to tap into each member’s inner self and bring out the best in every member. This brings creates a form of intimacy unique to Avon and Nova that truly has to be experienced to be comprehended.

---Joining Requirements---
As a warring clan, Avon has to be prepared for war at any time. Because of this, we impose a combat level requirement. As a community clan, we require basic knowledge in many different aspects of the game. Because of this, we impose a total level requirement. We acknowledge that not everyone chooses the melee path of combat, and as such combat levels in the ranger and mage fields are significantly harder to attain. For this reason, we have magic and ranged options to join Avon.
Altogether, we have come up with the following requirements to ensure that each Avon member is adequately experienced and competent for day-to-day life in the clan. We regret to inform you that we are very strict with the following level requirements and will auto-decline anyone, without a normal vote, who applies with less than sufficient levels. We do encourage those who do not meet Avon’s minimum requirement to train and reach the required levels then apply later. So, without further ado, I present to you the requirements:
Option 1: 85+ Combat and 850+ total level
Option 2: 70+ Ranged and 850+ total level
Option 3: 70+ Magic and 850+ total level
Option 4: 60+ combat and 500+ total level with referral of a loyal or higher

---Avon Ranks Explanation---
At Avon, we pride ourselves in bringing out the best in people, encouraging friendship and activity, and pushing people to become stronger. In Avon, there are a host of ranks to achieve that are designed to bring out the best in each one of our members.
Avon Trainee – Avon Trainees are full Avon members, despite the sound of their name. They have all the same privileges as a Avon Member, with the exception of the prestige associated with having the higher combat level necessary to become a Avon Member. Trainees are those members under level 95.
Avon Member – Same as Trainee, with a combat level of 95 or more. We also allow people with 75+ magic or ranged and 70+ HP to be a full member.
Avon Loyal – To be a Loyal you must show true dedication to the clan. You should maintain a fairly high activity rate in events, in clan chat and the forums. Loyal will not be granted to anyone younger than one month in the clan, unless there are extraordinary circumstances.
Avon Royal – Royal is the next step up from Loyal and is NOT easy to get. You must maintain an extremely high activity rate in both the forums and in events. All feedback should be constructive in some way to help out the clan for future events or help out new members. We will look for people who go above and beyond to aid our new members and making them feel welcomed in more ways than just saying "Hi welcomes u 2 Avon lol."
MOTM (Member of the Month) – Members of the Month are selected monthly by everyone in the clan with a rank of loyal+. The winner of this honor will receive the rank in forums of MOTM and get their name permanently infused into Avon’s history! Coming to every event makes you good candidate, but will not assure you this rank. You must stay very active in events, but what matters most is your spirit. We look for those who help others, never give up, try their hardest at everything we do, etc. Clan Moderator – A rank up from royal, clan moderators are in charge of maintaining Avon’s private forums. Moderators represent Avon well and should have a good knowledge of the clan rules, as well as a tendency to use good spelling and grammar.
Recruitment Team - These people are in charge of handling all issues related to getting new members on their feet in Avon. They are the ones who you must contact if you are accepted on this thread. The Recruitment Team also often put people up for voting; it will not always be me. Please note that in this team there is a manager and assistants (who have lesser powers).
Warlord – We will hand pick this person. A Warlord must be a high leveled, active member who surpasses all expectations and who is very knowledgeable in combat. They must also demonstrate competency in handling large groups of people in combat situations. Once again, we will hand pick this person.
Avon Council – Those who show excellent leadership qualities and abide by all rules will be considered for this position. You must be an effective communicator, which means using proper English. Avon council are responsible for letting our forum operations run smoothly and are to step in temporarily if High Council are inactive.
Avon High Council – This is the highest possible rank in Avon. The Avon High Council has a maximum of 9 members ensuring that all decisions are made quickly and are in the best interest of the clan. Moreover, to combat the typical problems of a council leadership we've assigned roles to each member of this council. These separate ranks give the members the ability to make immediate decisions in their areas of expertise. These ranks range from Head of RSB to Head of Intraclan affairs. Getting to this rank is extremely difficult.

---The Voting Process---
When you have filled and submitted an application, it will not be processed immediately. Instead, it will be posted for our existing members to vote upon. This process usually takes 24-48 hours (in extreme cases this could take longer).
If you are accepted, a post on this thread will be made saying that your application has been accepted and you will be considered a trial member. You will be instructed to add the entire recruitment team and speak to whichever of its members log in first to get your Avon legacy started.
Trial members are a rank we have here at Avon for new members. They have all the privileges of a normal member, less security. If they aren't active enough or have had a history of undesirable behaviour, the trial member will be booted from the clan after the two-week trial period. Note that you won't appear on this thread's member list until your trial period is over.
If your application is denied, a post will be made on this thread. In this post, we will always include a few reasons why your application was rejected and give constructive feedback so you can improve yourself for your next application. You can reapply as soon as you would like to, but it is recommended that you wait a week or two.
We would also like to take this opportunity to let all you perspective clan members out there know that Avon is not an easy clan to get into. As you see here, first you are voted upon by Avon members (approximately 50% of applications are denied), then you are put through your trial period where another large percentage are swept. If you cannot commit to this clan, you will be kicked without reservation. Consider this your warning.

Q: Where do you vote on my application?
A: Avon has extensive private forums activities. Your application is posted on these forums and voted on there. You are not permitted to see the voting so that our members can be as honest as possible without worrying about hurting applicants’ feelings.
Q: Who votes on my application?
A: All Avon members are allowed one vote on each application. Your application will not be declined with less than 5 votes, nor will it be accepted with less than 8 votes.
Q: Why do you judge me based on an application?
A: Being in the company of people with undesirable attributes can cause a lot of stress on a clan. To avoid the possibility of accepting someone like this, we screen applications to make sure that undesirables stay out of Avon and this increases member satisfaction.
Q: How active is Avon?
A: Very. Come see for yourself! We invite you to come to any one of our events that we release all the details of or join in on the “Avonchat” clan chat channel. Just identify yourself as a prospective member and you should not be kicked. We encourage people to make wise choices in their clan selection and make this easier by allowing you to see what Avon’s like before you join.
Q: Why do Avon members keep telling me to “gtfo” or “st**”? Am I doing something wrong?
A: No, you are not doing anything wrong. These two phrases are used commonly as playful banter in Avon and should not be taken for their literal interpretations.
Q: How serious is the application?

Our clan's most active members have volunteered to handle newly accepted Avon members from the RSB thread. That means that I encourage you to add them, and whenever one signs on have a little conversation with them.
Once you do this, you will be instructed on how to get all the latest news, events, and become a stronger member of our clan community. You will then be a complete and whole member of Avon.

Avon also does a number of fun wars with its allies and other clans that are just looking to have fun and put their combat skills to the test. These wars happen more often than ranked wars, and are much more fun and less stressful than ranked wars.
Avon is also open to different types of wars. For example, we once had a Castle Wars fun war with a Castle Wars clan. Seeing as Avon only does Castle Wars once a week, we lost but it was lots of fun nonetheless. If your clan would be interested in a unique type of war such as this, please indicate this on your application.

- No flaming at all - even mild. Be polite and courteous at all times. Although we may be at war, Avon still expects its members to maintain their pride and dignity.
- Spamming is a must. For instance (A) (Avon) on Red "a red"
- Swordfish (F2P wars) or sharks (P2P wars) are also a must every hit-point you have is going to help in the war

---The Nova Connection---
Avon is Nova** junior clan. As such, our entire process and way of doing things is structured exactly like Nova. Because of this, we figure that if you’re mature and/or creative enough to survive as a Avon member, you are definitely worthy of becoming a Nova member.
Due to the striking similarities, the High Council of Nova and Avon have worked out a system whereby people without the necessary minimum requirements for Nova can join Avon. While in Avon, they can work up the ranks and get higher and higher. Then, when the members are ready, they can transfer to Nova by filling out a special application and be given an equivalent rank in Nova without working up the ranks again. This system is ideal for those who aspire to join Nova, but still have a ways to go before being accepted.
To help with the transition, Nova and Avon have also coordinated a system whereby Nova and Avon have joint events at minimum every Monday. This allows Avon members to see and meet Nova members and allow them to bond together so that they don’t feel alienated when joining Nova.
As former Nova High Council, I am confident that through being in Avon, you will be ready to assume your rank in Nova.
Please note that if you already satisfy the Nova minimum requirements, you may as well join them. Simply search for their thread on the forums and you can fill out their application. We won’t turn you down just because you have too many levels, but encourage you to look at Nova as a viable option.

---Inactivity---
Inactive members are removed regularly. To be considered active, you must be:
*Attending events regularly
*Be active on the forums
*Be active in Clan Chat
If you are inactive, your status may be removed until you become active again. When you become active, you are to reapply as a normal member. At this point, the High Council will decide if will be forced to start over as a trial member or be allowed to skip ahead to a higher rank (depending on what your initial rank was).
You will not be removed for inactivity if you post a valid reason for being inactive. After all, one of Avon’s rules is to always put real life ahead of Runescape and we do not take this rule lightly. Although you post inactivity, there is only so long we can wait and will likely remove you for inactivity eventually. If you are removed for inactivity after you posted that you would be inactive, you are more likely to have your old rank reinstated upon your return.
