The History: The Rise and Fall
Golden Helms was formed in early 2001, few months short of almost 4 years old; rivaling the old clans, the only clans lasting to this day as old as GH are some of the alliance clans. The history of Ghelms, was probably the most bumpy, interesting, weird, history of a clan ever made. Golden Helms had the most real civil wars in history.
The first leaders of GH were emhop, and rockid, which lasted for a month or so, without a site, and no records, this time is just.. in here. From the moment these two leaders left rs, the next few months, until about August, was a series of mini wars, almost like warring states, with leaderships switching every few weeks. Finally, eventually, Diablo was established as only GH leader, with jokerboy2000 as coleader. Also given; the first GH site ever; a simple very bad geocities website.
Around this time i joined GH, i created the first semi-good website for GH, from playing an older game, AAA, i made an avidgamers site, as the name, jokerclown. I became site designer. Joker quit rs, and left thre leadership positions to Cloud 13, Bmxrider, and Orbital2 (also now known as dark edge/qyz). For the first months, the clan rose, and actually, did good, and GH's only ally, Sabres, were coming to an end. GH needed allies, considering the only wars GH had ever fought one on one, were a 10 vs 10 war on ice mountain, on which we won. Soon after joker left, there began problems with the three leaders, quarreling, over clan desicions, and here came the second major civil war period in GH, eventually resulting in the clan being mostly torn apart and Cloud quitting rs; (I had to make a choice of which side to join too, lol). GH torn apart, order was tried to be resotred, yet, failed.. miserably. Golden helms and 'THE' Clan then merged, a name was undecided.. but I think it was kept as 'THE' Clan, Orb became a leader, with CJ70, I became co-leader + juniors leader, and BMX didnt go.
We unmerged in 5 days.
Orb now quit, for the time being, and i went with Bmx, to rebuild GH, the first site, ever, by anyone, having a forum-only clan with apps being on the forums. Bmxrider left GH, and i became the sole leader of a 1 man clan. This period of gh.. well.. no need to go in detail.. was hard, GH struggled, but eventually, we got strong enough to get a gasp of breath. We merged with Jammy316's upcoming clan, the Crusaders, lead by him and coled by Paranoia. The leaders of Golden Crusaders were me and Jammy, coleaders were Para and 16Thomas16. The idea, the clan, was excellent, strong, but quarrels between Tom and Para split the clan apart, at first into a humid political civil war, and eventually the clan divided into two, one part by me, one by jmmy, as we supported different people. We were known again as Golden Helms, and Crusaders, Crusaders died out very soon. The merge for GC was bad, the merge for GH, though, was the boost we needed, we kept most of the GC members, and were strong enough to hold our own ground, and began recruiting on forums, and otherwise. We still used the old GC forums coz of lazyness to switch to others, or remake them. The most memorable part of this period is when God U Suk applied to GH, when he posted the topic, all the members were about to flame the **** out of him for posting God U suk, as the topic.. and then opening the topic they saw the application and an actual char named god u suk... and.. well.. WTF!!!.
Here begins the 1 year war, the fourth major civil war. A series of wars, skirmishes, battles, political and rswise, between me and Orb. Orb returned to GH, and wanted to be made leader. I agreed. Over disagreements, the next year was full of hatred, and wars, so, when describing the next few parts.. keep in mind: me and orb are enemies and hes always declaring wars/threats and political stress on gh leadership. Eventually i became hated by most of rs, and unliked by my clan, at times. This was partially due to the fact that at the same time i was running a semi campaign against the clans of THE, BK, and TDS. These clans were not in an alliance yet, but they were preparing to.
I stepped down as leader of gh, and formed the first succesfull council-only leadership in rs
ever. For the first few months, GH prospered, very, very good. The main problems were that, it took a long time to decide anything, including war desicions (as there were no war generals and special ranks yet). And the council was prone to be misled easily. As goes the philosophy that its easier to convince people the more there is of them. X Dragon X rejoined Ghelms, and convinced the council to make him sole leader, with orb/me/sim as coleaders. The council took to the idea eventually, as gh was in a state of misbeing. For the next month, gh became one of the strongest clans in runescape, given that most of the famous old time pkers joined up, like Picton (like86 hp, 70 combat, very good catcher/pker), Ashley (90+ hp, when the max hp in rs was about 91), 311 Deaths (80hp, 63 combat pure).
Some of these pkers stayed with GH for a long time, even after this age went away. GH died.
In a few months i restarted GH again, with new members, now mainly a pking clan with members like some of the old rpkers; little did we know though, that as thisstrong ascent to power began, it would not last. As i restarted, we were faced with an aisle of wars, from 3 major enemies; CoD/WD by X Dragon X, The Alliance (still in its early stages), and Orb. We, surprisingly, were able to strongly hold our ground. Eventually, gh collapsed, from internal problems and wars. I Later, almost 5 months later, restarted GH, with NONE of the old members, nothing. This is closest to present day GH. Here we begin a new era.. the new era.. and we begun.. the final civil war.. me vs orb.. actually it went like this: Me and orb both decided to lead GH side by side, but, as always, it just doesnt work out. GH Held the only runescape major-clan election in rs. It was a landslide.. 40+ votes for me, about 20 for others.. and one vote for orb, a vote from himself. Here came about rs2.. and the world of clans and pking as it existed changed.. making the transfer for gh to rs2, did not work too well.. especially after the war.. 1 one on 8 war. The war was basically about 1/3 of GH, 1/3 of another clan, and 1/3 of.. individuals for gh.. resulting in one half decent clan.. vs. The Alliance, plus many individual allies like LK, trwf, etc. GH lost the 1v8 war. GH then merged into md.. which lasted for sometime.. then died (it actually got extremely strong), then gh was tried to be restarted a few times.. faile.d. and died.
Now we begin possibly the best and lasting chapter of Golden Helms Alongside Gooey Duck, Sk8er56, And Of Course Myself.

1.
Bronze Age - This is pretty much the creation of GH, and the beggining.

End: GH Started to be organized, now acquiring a site/forums, and being able to recruit instead of talkin to people in rs and friends list.

Golden Age - This is possibly the most succesful age, but, meh. (also Golden Age of clans)

End: Jokerboy quit RS and gave up leadership to 3 of the Coleaders.

A New Beginning/Crusaders - This is the age where GH had to restart after Orbital2 drove it into the ground, with everyone deserting it.
