Oak Island Pirates

OIP have been around for 2 and a half years now and we have always managed to maintain ourselves as a small community yet a thriving one. This means we can have all the fun of a larger clan, but everything is more personal, and we actually listen to what you have to say, rather than your opinion being brushed to the side like it doesn't matter. The main reason for this is that it DOES matter, we DO care about what ALL of our members want, and this is what makes OIP such a great clan! We used to be an active Arpk clan, but now that this option has been removed from Runescape we're focusing more on the community side of the game. This includes doing more team based events which encourage raising your levels, along with some which are just for the fun of it.

Requirements

We have a few requirements which must be met for you to become a new recruit in the Oak Island Pirates. They are:

* ONE non combat skill over 90
* TWO non combat skills over 75
* THREE non combat skills over 60

And Either 75 combat, magic or ranged.



OIP have a variety of events which we run on a regular basis. The planned ones are run by our higher ranking members but anyone is welcome to host an event whenever they wish. Events which we run at the moment include:
* Castle Wars
* Snowball Fights
* KBD Trips
* TVR Events
* Skills Hours
* Fishing Trawler
* Skill Competitions
* Fight Pits


We also do trips to the GWD, DK's, Giant Mole, Allied Wars, Allied skill competitions and many more.

Our clan IRC is very active, it is a friendly place where you can come to get help with Runescape related problems or just to talk to friendly people. It can be found at #OIP and is always open to guests. This is where spontaneous events are organised and a lot of our members idle when they are playing. Feel free to stop by and ask an op about anything to do with the clan!

To encourage people to gain some levels we have a programme called SSE set up, which gives "doubloons" as rewards for gaining levels, which, when accumulated can lead to rewards, as well as the feeling of satisfaction you get from seeing how you have progressed over time.

Our Forums And The Application Process

OIP have forums where events are discussed, announcements are made and where people can voice their opinion on what's been happening both in Runescape and in the clan. These can be found by going to http://z15.invisionfree.com/oak_island_pirates.

If you think you like what you see and want to join up with us, there is a simple application process that you must go through. This lets us decide if we think you are suitable for us, but if you answer the questions well you should have no problem at all.

1. Read through the stickies in the application section.
2. Copy the application form and fill it in as best you can.
3. Wait for a verdict from the council, they get to decide if you get in or not, based on your application, so take your time!
