Sad to see the old theme go, It really brings back memories of the "Old RS"
I think I better try it out before it goes.

I finally switched back to the new theme, I can better differentiate the Fire Rune picture on hot topics now, whether there's been new posts in it or not! Yay!!

Yo I remember when I used old theme because my comp was too laggy and sucked. But I can run the new one now because I'm awesome like that.
But I have a question that hasn't been asked (well I think)

-When Runewire 3 will come out, will it be possible to use the old skin WITHOUT using the new benefits linked to Runewire 3? (Since it's the reason why Old Skin is leaving.)

It would work but it would be painful to use. Aside from RW3 it's also being discontinued because whenever a modification needs to be made it has to be made in both areas. Those two reasons aside we are really discontinuing it.

I have an Android and I can imagine it would be very painful to browse the forums on it. However I'm also fortunate enough to have an actual computer to browse forums on. In fact, I have two... spoiled for choice as it is!

.. but no seriously, that aside, I fully sympathise with you guys and as its designer I do take responsibility for the performance hit. I was pretty unhappy with it myself too, enough so that earlier on I changed some of the CSS for myself using Stylish (specifically to remove row hovers, which lagged scrolling, and drop shadows as Shane noted). I've found that recently, browsers have finally begun to catch up with what I originally implemented and now it feels fairly fluid running the forums in Chrome and Firefox.

If I were not super busy, I would love to streamline the skin and address the problems I can see with it at the moment, but to be totally honest it isn't going to be happening in the near future.
