When someone posts a picture that is way to big for the page, The picture does not resize!

Also, long lines of text do not bring up the post scroll bar!

Did you guys like that thing?

That was a major source of lag on the old forums. The page would load, then after everything was done the page would semi-refresh shrinking the images screwing up the direct # links to posts.

It would be better if everyone just attached larger images since it builds a thumbnail, used imageshack with the thumbnail link, or just linked to large photos instead of using image tags.

How about just hiding the overflow on the picture? I made a change to the css, I think that's better than bringing back that horrid javascript.

Perhaps a new rule like: Pictures longer than 800 px in length must be Hyper linked, and not showing in the topic.

And another like: No posting lines of text longer than 45 characters (45 because the 'largest word', Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, is 45 characters)

The main problem is needing to read, then horizontal scroll right, then left.

Yeah, I think a rule for "page stretching" should be made.

There's a town in New Zealand called Tetaumatawhakatangihangakoauaotamateaurehaeaturipukapihimaungahoronuku pokaiwhenuaakitanarahu. That first word is longer than 45.

But yeah, I agree with the 800px rule, even though one of my monitors is more than double that. I really didn't like the javascript that was in the forums before.

Yeah, that's what hiding the overflow does. If you want to see the whole thing just right click on it and click View Image. Pretty much everyone here uses Firefox or Opera, or a similar browser, with that capability.
