Threads more than 14 days old

I was told off by a mod for replying a thread that is more than 14 days old. Why cant a thread of more than 14 days old be locked then. I'm sure we can do that.

You weren't told off, you were reminded that you're not supposed to.
I've never realized what I say is rude. It's not like I gave you an official or even unofficial warning.

There was a modification installed before to lock topics that went over 14 days without replies but it didn't work.
And I think it's kind of a waste of time going through topics to see if they're over 14 days to lock them, really, better just to lock when they're bumped.

We don't really punish for it, we just remind and lock.

Just keep an eye on the last post date, it's easy.

No you didn't. Not unless you'd bumped lots and lots of threads all over.
