I've got this suggestion that a user could delete their own post they posted, not the first one but the ones like they post on someones elses topic, I do know that this feature is only available to Mods,Admins and As i thought it would be nice to have such a feature in select forums-I though a suggestion wouldnt hurt!. I do undestand that even if this would get considered it would comeout or be made till PHPBB 3 is released.

Naa..it'd only make it harder to see if they've done something wrong. :P

Just use the edit button.

I think you can delete a post right away if you think you messed up bigtime but thats only right after you posted it.

Edit: Yah it's that little "x" in the far right.

Creepy has a point. Enabling it everywhere would cause problems. Say someone made a post that broke the rules in some way. Then someone else begins to post telling them what they did wrong (which is against the rules also by the way). They could start arguing, and the person who broke the rule originally could go and delete his/her bad post. It would just cause problems.

I think leaving the delete button on your last post is ok. Before it has happen to me where my internet begins to lag, and when I refresh the page 2 of my posts have appeared. The delete button is ok for that, but not anywhere else.

You can delete your thread if no one posted on it. And there doesn't really seem to be a reason to delete it after that. I don't think it's a good idea.

You can delete your own thread or post if no-one has replied to it yet. Just click the little white X next to the edit and report buttons after posting it. That button disappears after someone has replied, though.

I meant like in Sandbox if you replied and someone else did, well you still can erase the post, I meant sandbox doesn't have any rules does it?

Whatever happened to staying on-topic?

It's a fair suggestion, but in places like SOTW we don't allow edits or deleting for a reason.

Back onto topic. This delete button is pretty usless. All you have to do is edit but if you want to delete it just cover it up with something like *deleted* or something like that. =)
