If you are using Internet Explorer or Firefox, just go Tools > Options. Sorry, don't know about any others.

FOr the firewall, try looking down near the time, see if there's anything like Norton or someother firewall running.

Well deleting them is really the opposite of what you want to do, but if you clear them it may remove some corrupted data, I'm not sure. If you do delete them, please note that all site where you had auto-login or settings saved by cookies, those will be cleared.

i just cant seem to figure out what to do

might as well get a paper ready to store all usernames and passwords to remember what they are for my accounts on other forums
