of course it is...and it always will be...i feel your pain dont worry...but i think worries about spamming isnt really a valid reason to ditch an idea completely especially when it would be cool lol

Yeah true, and This is a very good idea, I would like to see who gets first member of the month, and maybe we could have a certain topic for Members of the Month? Or something similar, that'd be cool.

instead of making the mods do it, have a seperate forum where the MEMBERS get to nominate people, then after the first week of the month, close the nominations up, and set up a poll to see who the winners are. :wink:

ye kulla we could do that too. thats a good idea. and i dunno about the reward apart from honor and being stoked that ur member of the month lol. i spose someone could make a secret donation and whoever wins member of the month would get the donation...no matter how crap or good it is lol

Like Mike said in the SOTW thread, he is afraid ppl will start making accounts to just get votes.

like i said before spammers wont get it. and also fear of spamming shouldnt stop the site exploring its future lol or actually putting some peoples ideas to prectice.

about voting:
maybe the mods could just pick about 5 or 7 judges for the whole thing like what they have for SOTW and then have them vote for the winner each month and help keep things in order kind of like that chewy wok does. or even we could have a seperate thread for nominations (aka entries in SOTW) and then there will be a poll in the last week of the month where people can vote on who they want to win and majority rules and the mods wont have to decide anything. but i dunno this would have to be discussed.
