A new skin

If they made more skins thy would need to have a black BG to keep the "No dark colors" rule. And then the only difference in the skin might be layout or default text colors and image sets.

There really wouldn't be much point to it.

I think RSBandB is supposed to be dark themed, that's the only way I can think of a real RS fansite's forums. (Not to be offensive to other RSFS' but white just doesn't look RuneScapeish)

I'm not against new skins, it would probably be good to build one or two extras when PHPbb 3 is released otherwise we'll keep getting suggestions for new skins.

I'll be sticking with RSBandB classic though :wink:

Its not a bad idea but i aint really fussed because i wouldnt change the colour, i like it the way it is

phpBB 3 is out right now. Even though it's still in beta, it is a release candidate.

Yeah i also do like this black colour skin, looks cool. But yeah if people do feel like not having the black there should be an option to change the colour.

Release Candidate is not Beta. It is Release Candidate.

Once it is released fully, I think Shane and Mike will try to upgrade asap. But it isnt fully released yet.

Well if the background were to change to a different color other than black someone would have to re edit all the ranks to the color of the background.

Why would someone do that? I mean if we have a white background we have to do the whole thing over again? Green goes with white. Blue goes with white. Purple goes with white. Why would we have to change the ranks?

Or edit the black parts to be transparent... Then it goes with all the backgrounds.

I think having at least the option of having a different background setting would be nice. Variety is good.

We're currently having some layouts being worked on and they'll be there (most likely) for the PHPBB3 release. If I knew how to make them, I'd so give it a try
