You probably will have more events. But sometimes people can't make it to some of the events because of timing and day. When the EC puts out new events they'd have to check the times, or talk to a group leader / group EC person to figure out dates. The first month would be tough but I think after awhile we'd get something working. And if the group does hurt the EC too much (which I don't think it would) then obviously the group couldn't stay.

Do you think it could be done?

Im with Creepy on this one for once...if rsbandb would just be a "group", we pretty much are already like that with the EC. Why make a whole other group for events, even if you said the group would do stuff on weekdays, well, so can the EC, they dont because people are busy. I see no point in having both an EC and an rsbandb "group" for events, etc. If its for communication and help, then maybe have a list of veteran players people can contact.

I have to say no to this as well. I don't see what purpose it would serve. I don't see why we'd waste the resources on doing it when we have the events crew. And to put it bluntly over the years Mike and I have hired numerous people to do things and they all fall through. So I don't see this happening with any success if it's not lead by someone who's associated with the administration. It takes a huge amount of work to lead and make something successful... something that most forum members do not have.

In all truthfulness this doesn't sound any different than the events crew. Jason if you want to help with these things around rsbandb, join the events crew next time we are recruiting ;) This is an option for everyone else as well. If there's a huge interest we may just have to create a few more spots.

Noone seems as zealous as before, but that means that it wasn't meant to be. I was posting again like we said someone would at the end of June to see if anyone was still interrested in the idea. Noone really is so the idea wasn't needed.

I would've applied for the EC last time apps were open but I knew I couldn't attend many, if any events then. I should beable to now and hope to beable to apply next time apps are open.

I think this disscussion is over then now.
