I've been here for 5 minutes, and I've seen a thousand locked threads...
Why do the ones who don't even have spam in them get locked?

After 14 days to be exact.

It doesn't apply to stickies, annoucements, and the submissions forum, though.

There's a rule that says not to post in these topics but a lot of the time someone who just joined would accidently post in those topics.

Small mistakes that don't really warrant any punishment and it is preventable so that's why theres an auto-locker.

Yeah, but it's really a lot easier for mods if they don't have to lock threads that haven't been posted on for over two week.
