suggestion for newcomers

well... when I started this topic there were an abnormal amount of people spamming. I saw at least one spam thread each day. But that's changed now, not as much spam around. However, this problem is bound to come up again sometime in the future as rsbandb grows. RSC seems to send all its new members a pm, why not us?

Well you're never going to stop spam threads, people will always make them, we've got more mods than ever now to ensure it stays under control.

I don't mind the idea of a pm being sent out to people cause it wont put them of using the forums but as i've said, not many will read it.

Most people have pop-up blockers. I'm fairly sure all major browsers come with pop up blocking by default.

Well creepy, i did suggest that they be taken to their PM inbox immediately after they register, would that make them read it?

Doubt it, people are ignorant but again doing that does no harm i guess.
