Ok, so I have been off of RS for the better part of a long time... Since my return I find myself looking out-dated, but not knowing about all the cool new stuff that has come around, I don't know how I would go about collecting new, and almost certainly better items and gear for my player. Currently my gear consists of, Warrior helm, rune plate, dragon legs, obby cape, dragon boots, whip, obby shield, along with random nic-nacs. What do yous think? |

How much money do you have? If you have enough, I'd get Guthans or Dagon'hai robes, depending on your preference of looking like a warrior or a mage. |

Don't wear range gear, it looks awful. Except for Armadyl. Void looks nice too by the way EDIT: Just refreshed the page and saw your post, I'll look up some stuff with that info. |

nothing much you can wear for now, but once you get 70 def you can try out barrows gear, even though they were out since 05 |

If you're looking purely for a fashion set, i have the following advice for you: 1: obsidian cape has never been cool. ever. for combat its fine and dandy. all else, blah. go get yourself a legends cape or ardougne achievment diary cape, or god vestment cape. fire cape is beyond your capabilities atm. DO NOT GET A FLETCHING OR COOKING CAPE. more people will insult you for it than compliment you. 2: most normal amulets suck for graphics. amulet of fury and gnome defense/glarial's amulet look nice. special neck items and symbols aren't my type but i'd wear a lot of things before i chose saphire-dragonstone necklace/amulet as my gear. 3: there have been dosens of costumes added to the game from a lot of minigames. go do the circus for a few weeks and you can get some good costumes there. mobilizing armies is boring and stupid but the costumes from there are nice too. if you play 1-2 rounds of stealing creation you can have enough points for sacred clay armor, which is the same as rune but can look pretty good. 4: hats, weapons, and shields are probably the most important parts of a costume. try to find something that catches people's eyes, or is more interesting than a helm. hoods look pretty good, i personally use the ringmaster hat from the circus. it looks like a pirate hat crossed with a cavalier. there are lots of quest weapons or gag weapons from events or special venders that are good too. darklight is good since its graphical update, wands and staves are usually good bets. typical kiteshields and squareshields are boring for outfits. books are agreable, roundshields, sometimes no shield at all. things with unique shapes work wonders. 5: gloves and boots should be the same color and match at least one other part of your outfit, probably the hat or cape. |
