need help with a monster

Ice troll king, in the Frem Isles quest. It seems easy, but i can't find a way to get around the freezing, which makes me unable to heal. I always have to tele out every time i try. Any tips?

All you need to do to eat is click on it twice, same with attacking the Troll King. He is actually very easy, considering he is level 120 something.

protect from magic prayer cancels out the freezing. he actually attacks 2 different styles, like a saradomin mage. if you use protect ranged, he uses magic, if you use protect magic, he uses range, 'cept his default is to do magic.

yup, mage protect and then kill him
i actually protected mage after he barraged me
that's how i did it

what method should i use to kill him? melee, mage, or range? I read that you should use a hally, is that true?

I had no problem with his freezing me stopping me from eating, and I was in full melee armor. I used a whip and pro range.

If your having problems with his ice barrage I suggest wearing black dhide of Karil's against him, and bring a hally or dd++ for double hit special.

And no, you don't have to wear the pathetic yak hide armor against him. I just put up a guide for the quest.
