What's the fuss of HAM?

What is the big deal about HAM. Beside the dam stupid ugly looking robe that make those wearing them look like some lunatics escape from somewhere. What the use of adding this new group?

KABO0M, right with the entire cow population wiped out i shall explain HAM is not Humans Againts Monsters thats just a cover its actuly MAH "Man Ate Ham" so now all the hams and stuff are dressing as humans in there pink ham suits and killing them off one at a time, and guess whos the leader? Oh yes btw there was HUGE thread on runescape.coms forums about monsters attacking humans and a big war or someting..it was very populer..seems jagex is trying to introduce this dont you think?

i think the robes are dam ugly i wish they did the hoods in different colors like the regular robe 1s cos the hoods are darn cool

There is a quest with them involved, its called 'one small favor' a new quest.

They do also make theifing..somewhat interesting i mean come on theifing before this was boring and predicatable it was oh look 30gp or ow stuned, now theres a huge range of things you can pickpocket and you get kicked out. I would love to see this sort of thing on some higher lvl theifing monsters.

jagex maybe added them because they wanted that the low lvl players should get more emenys to train againts?
or to make lvl 2 clues easier to get?
or players have more emenys to picpocket?

I raised my thieving just so I could get HAM stuff, and I still visit there every now and then. The Level one clues are usually useless, the best I've got has been a black plate, and it is more entertaining thieving than what you normally get from level 10 - 30.

I assumed it was a fun way to bring hoods into runescape, players have been suggesting hooded capes for a while.

Then the idea probably developed: tie it in with a quest, another place to get thieving exp etc..
