Would appreciate some Barrows advice

Hello. I have never done the Barrows, except for one time when I got about 500 kill count, but killed none of the brothers. Yeah, I don't know, don't ask me why I did that

Anyways, I would like to do Barrows on an almost regular basis for some profit and some Guthans armor. I would like to know if my stats are okay, and if there is any sort of strategy that I should use.

Above you can see all of my stats. I think some important things are:

* 91 Combat
* 64 Magic
* 71 Range
* 52 Prayer
* 54 Slayer
* All Quests Completed

Could somebody possible give me some tips and strategys for doing the Barrows? I would like to know how to kill each Brother, what I should bring and wear, a good Kill Count to get to, etc.

Thanks a lot for any help.

Kill count doesn't seem to make much difference past 25. I would recommend bringing a class-specific body, legs and weapon and wear the same thing for the other slots through the trip. Bring runes for a reasonably good assault spell and some good arrows. If you grow your own ranarr weed prayer potions won't rack up too much of an expence. Remember that you'll be getting lots of runes that you can sell, so don't fret excessively over your budget.

Use magic to kill Dharok, Guthan, Karil, Torag, and Verac. Use ranged to kill Ahrim.

Hope you get what you're after, or at least enough runes to buy it.

25+ kill count = better drops or what is this thing? Excuse my stupidity, never been close to the barrows..

My friend goes constantly and tells me of everything he gets and i asked him one day what he uses this is what he said.

He uses slayer dart but you could use like fire blast.

Wears-
Farseer or Ahrims Hood
Mystic or Ahrims Top
Mystic or Ahrims Bottom
Slayer staff or air/fire staff in your case
Dragon Vamps
Mystic boots
Amulet of Glory
God Cape of choice
Pray Book
Ring of Life
200 Arrows * Mith or Better *

Inventory-
Ecto Tele
5k Coins
Noted Food *lobs or better*
Noted Pray pots
fire or air runes * based on staff chosen*
Death runes
About 8 Food
Dragonhide Body
Dragonhide Chaps
Magic Short bow *crystal or karils work aswell*
Spade *of course*
All the rest of your inventory should be prayer pots

Strategy id recomind killing all but one brother with magic.

use protect melee against guthan, Dhorak, Torag, and Verac. Use protect Range against Karils

when fighting ahrims put on your dragon armor and bow and range him he says he personally doesnt use prayer against ahrims cuz of the dragon armor and to save prayer pots but you can if youd like.

once in your tunnel ONLY kill the brothers do not worry yourself about kill count. With higher kill count your more likely to get lots of runes but less likely to get barrows armor.

o ya make sure you have the permanent serum on the general store owner in town to sell and rebuy your stuff

For just starting out I don't think I will bring noted food, maybe after I'm more comfortable there.

Also, I am getting 1 more slayer level to be able to use the staff for Slayer Dart

do desert treasure, 70 mage, the ice spell, very good, against the brothers, then you just hide behind the coffins, hit them with a few ice spells which stops them from attacking you, then back behind the coffin repeat. but you do need 70 mage and desert treasure completed.

Everyone has some good strategies here, but I have my own.

First off, you should get 55 Slayer so you can use Magic Dart, it is an extremely good spell that can hit pretty high. Second off the kill count doesn't really change the odds of getting Barrows, so unless you make 3 trips in 1 run, you should only bring Lobsters if you're going to teleport after visiting the chest.

Here's what I usually bring:
- Farseer helm
- Splitbark Body
- Mystic Robe Bottom
- Mystic Gloves
- Slayer Staff
- Prayer Book
- 6 Prayer Potions
- Ectophial (Or any other teleport, this one is more convenient.)
- Spade (Obvious yes.)
- Black Dragonhide Body
- Black Dragonhide Legs
- Magic Shortbow
- Rune Arrows (I usually bring about 150.)
- Proper Runes for Magic Dart (For me 1000 Minds and 150 Deaths.)
- Lobsters

Alternate way would be to use Ancient Magicks Ice Spell and freeze the Melee guys and bring Dragonhide armour and Melee armour. But the runes can get pretty expensive, it takes alot of money to use this way, but you'll save not using Prayer Potions I guess.

Lastly, I would like to include you should take the In Search of Myreque shortcut to get to Barrows. It's alot easier and it'll save you about 5 minutes.

If you need any help you can refer to my guide on Barrows in the Submissions sections under Mini-Games. It might be dated because I haven't updated it in a while, but it gives you an idea.

Magic dart works fairly well, but not extremely well. The advantage of using it is that the runes it uses will be more than covered by what you find in the chest.

I just finished a quick trip a minute ago. I used up about 50 death runes maging 4 of the six brothers, I meleed the others. Slayer dart was the spell I used. Brads spell would be better but I haven't gotten around to doing desert treasure yet. Since you have, use that or the slayer dart.

60 def (will get today)
60 attack
52 strenght
71 (soon to be 72) magic
66 hp
52 prayer

By the way, yes, on my 12th trip I got a Verac's Helm. I'll post my strategy in a little while
