Jagex has advanced macroing detecting software. Jagex doesn't reveal what proof they have or how they got it because the dishonest people will only use it as a way of not getting caught next time.

This is from the Macroing FAQ on runescape.com...

Quote:
How does the new macro detection system work?

Our new macro detection system monitors activity on our servers and detects suspicious behaviour. This evidence is reviewed by our team of experts who either confirm or reject the systems analysis. Jagex will not reveal the exact mechanics of how this system works because this would make circumvention easier.

Have you been clicking on the exact same pixel for hours? Lol...

Um... is it possible somebody hacked your account or something?

Have you ever tried any Rs cheating programs, or websites besides runescape.com that ask for your password ?

Macros (n.) - A single, user-defined command that is part of an application and executes a series of commands.

Like automining or some thing that will run by it self without you doing the actual typing or clicking.

Yes....here, read this...

27 Oct 2004
3000 RuneScape Classic players were banned today for using macro software to cheat. This type of software is against the rules (see rule 7).

The number of people cheating in this way on RuneScape Classic was getting out of hand and most users will agree it was really starting to ruin the game so we felt it was time to take action. Therefore the 3000 most severe offenders have been permanently banned.

Whilst we are no longer actively developing RuneScape Classic, and whilst it has far less macro detection mechanisms than our main game RuneScape, it does still have some significant protection, so don't think you can get away with cheating at EITHER of our games. Breaking the rules in either of our games will not be tolerated.

i read that on many mods like rs they have systems were every 45 or so clicks on a rock or somthing for extended periods of time will send a messege to jagex, if u are using a auto miner (for example) it wont click so they wont recieve the message and thell be notified. Tho i do no how to get around it i dont wanna promote breaking rules.

edit: i no sites that tell how to do that type of stuff so if jaggy ever needs or wants them "shut down" ill trake em down for ya

Ok, They can not detect Marcoing programs, it is impossible for them to do it, they can tell because when you use a marcoing program it goes in the same places over and over and does not talk or anything, and thats how they tell, they only banned you for 7 days, because they suspected you were autoing.

And, pretty much everyone autos on RSC (RuneScape Classic), I've been on rRSC and no one talks, they do the same actions over and over again, its just to obvious, RSC is dying quickly, I heard they will be removing it some time over this year.
