For the Tai Bwo Wannai Trio Quest (not the mini game) do u need 65 fishing? i think i remember reading somewhere that its only recomended

You only need it if you want to get the special fishes that you can fish. I dunno what they are called though. Some long weird name.

You don't need to have 65 fishing. But you do have to catch that fish. You can get him from one of those brothers I believe

They're called Karambwan, and you get one for free once you help the fisherman. Talk mto the old fisherman bguy near Brimhaven, keep talking to him until you learn about Karambwanji, and fish him some. Then you can get that fishing device. Give it to the native fisherman (Northeastern most area of the jungle - cross the log and head straight north) and he'll give you a Karambwan, which you can cook, grind with a mortar and pestle (Don't eat it, it hurts), and use on a spear stronger then iron (I suggest a steel spear from the hobgoblins). After helping him, you get a runite spear with Karambwan poisoning upon helping the final brother.

In order to finish the quest you only need 5 fishing to get the bait fish.

65 fishing is recomended because then you can finish the quest by yourself, but if you don't got 65 fishing you can buy the fish from someone who can fish them.
