check-health?

On the farming calculator, one of the most experience-giving tasks is "check-health [tree]." Just quickly, what does it mean to check a trees health? I grew an oak tree, and never encountered this, although I did pay a gardener to do it.

Is it just like looking at the tree and seeing if it needs water?

Im not sure...im only lvl 3 =p.

I don't know why they made it. It's just easy experience. When you grow a tree you can't cut it/pick the fruits before you checked if the tree is healthy.
After you've done it you can either cut or pick the fruits.

when u grow a tree u dont get farming xp for chopping it down so they had to make u look at it to be sure it's entirely healthy and get some xp for growing it properly, so if u chopped your oak down when it was fully grown then u did check the health of it because the chop option doesn't appear until after u checked it.
