It's very easy to level up, and then Alch your bows.

It's a simple way to get money

Well I know people are maging the brothers by standing in safespots. (safespots are new from glitch) People are no longer needing to use prayer. People are killing brothers 40+ times than what they'd usually would, which in the end is giving them the better rewards, meaning more frequent barrows armour.

So all in all, barrows armour is becoming the norm, like rune armour, which results in price drop.

If you Sidestep, you don't even need Prayer/Safespots.

I'm pretty sure u can only profit off that if you pick your flax... cut your logs... or craft your nats... etc.

the more "ingredients" you collect yourself, the more of a profit you earn
