Major Help With Ogre Shamans please

First off let me say this is a great site and im glad to be a member of it now. I just used the guide for completing Watch Tower Quest and I have done this before on a previous account. When I go down there with my cannon and setup to range greaters, I start getting attacked by an Ogre Shaman that is not even phsyically hitting me, its just hitting 30's out of nowhere. Now this has never happened to me before on my ex-main, and i mean i NEARLY lost my Robin hood and ranger boots ( had 1 hp left and had someone bring me a full load of shark). So if anyone knows how to make it where ogre shamans do not attack you if they are hit I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks

impossible if a monster is attacked by ur cannon it's gonna target u.
ogre shamans just have that insane attack ability cuz they weren't meant to be trained on. similar to the undead ones from shilo village quest that used to be a decent training spot fer high lvls back in rsc now everytime u kill one poisen gas starts to spew from the spot the died on.

well thats what someone else told me but the problem is it never use to do that before. Its not like it was physically there hitting me, the ogres were like half way across the map(you know how cannons have far reach) and it was hitting 30's. So i mean is that really completely impossible to stop because honestly I use to range down here previously with cannon and it never did a thing
