Half Shield Drop

I've been killing fire gaints, blue dragons & shadow warriors by the thousands but have not get half shield drop. I was just wondering whether you need to have lvl 60 smithing ( able to join 2 halves of drag shield) before you can get a half shield drops.

Can those who have half shield drops share your experiences.

I hear the drop rate for Shield Half is between 1/72000 and 1/80000

So, you'd hafta kill about 72 to 80k to get a shield drop

chance depends by monster....dwarves drop half shields but obviously a lot less chance than fire giants

however, the average chance for all the monsters is prbly wat dan said

to dan i an assure that is not correct my friend got 3 half sheild drops from 80-90 range then another 2 from 91-99.. its just random

and no u dont have to be 60 smith to get it cuz my friend *same guy as before* was lvl 55 smithing when he got his.

I saw a guy get a half shield at fires. I asked him how many he had killed and he said that that was only his 3rd one ever -.-;;;;;;;

nope m8 you dont ive know people that have got them that cant even wield drag. just keep tring bud i aint got one either and thats all i kill as well
