Gem rocks - good exp?

Just wondering if the gem rocks are any good for exp. Are they busy? Better than coal? Iron?

hmm whenever i'm there, there's normally atleast 1 other person, so you might have to hop a few times to get them to yourself, and the xp is 65, the same as gold.

When i was a member, they weren't too fast for me.

But I was only like 50 mining then, so maybe they'll be better than you

No, they are usually with more people than needed and spawn slowly. You will get better exp from iron, which have more rocks close to each other and spwn faster. It may give less exp, but I'm one of those "Speed over exp" guys. And if you do the math, you'll get more exp from 2 irons than from 1 gem, from wich the iron spawn at half (if not less) time than the gems

If you include crafting exp then yes, they are. That assumes, of course, that some jack*** isn't hogging them all.
