What's the Point of a Bird Egg?

A while back when I was cutting yews, I received something weird. A Bird Egg. I saved it up until now for Farming, thinking it was somehow involved in that. But now I've no clue what it is for. Please someone help...

i heard someone say a green egg was a guthix egg, blue is a sara egg and red is a zammy egg.... dunno what they are for though

I sent a query to jagex, they said they are related to farming but can't tell me anymore.

if jagex wont tell u wat its for, u can be sure it's good. I have a feeling they're gonna make it the next easter egg or something like that

mmm y would they do that there would be no point, it may be something to watch over u crops or they might bring out bugs that eat ur plants so the bird eats the bugs to keep them health..... or even a new pet

I went to a farm and try to find out what it was for. No go...

Also my friend said to find some kind of frying pan and cook the egg in it...
