i asked mike about the flowers and he said its from another quest

Those flowers are from the troll romance quest. And the new shield looks OK

new items degrade in this order
new - when u buy it from elves
full - use it 1 time

u get a message everytime it degrades.

and as of right now there is no known way to recharge the items after they've turned to seeds. i've tried the seed on everything inside glarial's tomb and the final room of the waterfall and nothing in them recharges it.
